What VSK Does

VSK is an integrated dashboard application that pulls together APIs from UDISE+, SDMIS, NAS (PARAKH), PM POSHAN and other modules — teacher attendance, student attendance, transfer & posting, and NIPUN assessment — into a single portal.

It is a comprehensive school-monitoring application for field-level academic and non-academic staff, gathering real-time data on schools, teachers and students and evaluating the school ecosystem. Assessment results are captured and the resulting analytics shared with every stakeholder, so reports generated by VSK can be used directly to strengthen academic and administrative reform and to keep learning outcomes on track for every class.

Objectives

• Set up a centralized monitoring mechanism at the State level for the activities of field-level staff and other field-level implementation of projects and initiatives.
• Set up a centralized helpdesk for grievance redressal, with online and onsite support for stakeholders across the school ecosystem.
• Develop a centralized dashboard giving real-time performance indicators for schools, and use it to rank schools.

Expected outcomes

• A state-level centralized monitoring mechanism for effective monitoring, student tracking, feedback and support to every stakeholder in the school education system.
• An integrated, real-time dashboard drawing on existing applications for analysis and actionable information.
• Increased accountability across all stakeholders within School Education.
• Faster delivery of alerts, notifications and news, with minimal failure, to field functionaries and parents.

Progress so Far:

15 March 2024

Construction of the VSK room, with a wall-mounted screen for the PMU, is completed and inaugurated by the Hon'ble Minister of Education.

29 August 2025

VSK becomes fully operational, with the Command and Control Centre taking live attendance and running its core modules.

3,152 schools onboarded against a target of 4,646 (excluding 11 JNVs and 9 KVs), with a 15-member PMU running day-to-day operations.
